Routine

I never realized just how important my daily routine was to my writing productivity until the routine was gone. As many of you know, there's a new addition to our family.

Blue is just a baby and like all babies, she needs to learn the routine. She's very very cute and sweet and we all love her to bits already, but I have to admit...I never expected my writing to suffer quite so much as it has.

So we're learning just as Blue is learning, and it will take a while to find a routine that works for everyone again. What do I do to find extra writing time now? I'm still working that out, but so far it involves a lot more late nights and a few early-morning trips to starbucks. I know we'll figure out something eventually, though, and right now I'm just grateful to have her in my life.

Is Blue part Newfy?! She looks like it! So, so cute. I feel for your routine. I'm a creature of routine so when things are thrown off it's very bothersome and as it relates to writing it's even worse!

Steph, not newfie (thank goodness) - she'll still be a big dog, but she's got golden retriever and australian cattle dog in her.

She's a beautiful dog and someday will probably curl up at your feet when you are writing :-)

Blue is so beautiful! Also, I don't know if I said this previously, but I love her name.

Puppies are a wonderful, joyful addition to a family! I would like another dog, but my husband and I can't agree on the breed. :) I want small non-shedding, he wants extra large and looks like a 'real dog' as he puts it :)

My husband is one of those "real dog" people too. We are dogless now but have numerous granddogs who come to visit regularly. :)

Blue is absolutely adorable, but you've affirmned my desire to have less to take care of, LOL.

Blue sure looks like a sweetie..

But am dogless now and hope to stay that way.. Our last was 18 when she left us.. in and out.. in and out... in and out.. didn't have a fenced yard.. I'm pretty sure I was the trained and she was the trainer..
